Mock, 90, formerly of Williamsburg, RR 2, went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife early Wednesday evening, September 28, 2005 at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Woodbury Township, Williamsburg, RR 2 on May 27, 1915, son of the late Ithamar C. and Margaret (Logenecker) Mock. He married Bernice A. Irvin on June 5, 1937, in Cumberland, MD. She died on June 10, 1990. Mr. Mock was a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church and its men's Bible class. He retired as a truck driver from PennDOT in 1980 after 21 years of service. Previously, he was employed at the Pennsylvania Railroad, Juniata Shop, as a school bus driver for the Williamsburg School District and as a dairy farmer in Woodbury Township. Mr. Mock attended the Snively one-room schoolhouse, Woodbury Township. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, serving on the USS Mobile, attaining the rank of seaman 2nd class. Mr. Mock enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Williamsburg Lions Club and former member of the Williamsburg VFW Memorial Post. Surviving are seven children: Jacqueline M. Sausman of Shelocta, Barry E., Lillie M. Negley, Larry C. and Terry Z., all of Williamsburg RR 2, Elvira M. Sollenberger of Tyrone and Pam M. Prough of Williamsburg; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five sisters: Ethel Whitfield, Grace Fouse, Melda Leidy, Alma Hamilton and Mary Grove; and three brothers: Roy, John and Chester Mock. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday at Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday at Williamsburg United Methodist Church by Pastor Barry E. Neal. Interment will be made at Snively Cemetery, Williamsburg RR 2.
