MOFFIT Of 4029 Beale Avenue, died at Mercy Hospital at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon after an extended illness. He was born at Colerain, Pa. Oct. 17, 1865, the son of James and Marjorie (McClallan) Moffit, and married Minnie B. Bickett, Feb. 20, 1895 at Huntingdon. She died in August, 1918. He is survived by a brother, Andy W. of Juniata; and the following children: Mrs. Helen Reffler, Altoona; Mrs. E. R. Gill, Duncansville, R. D.; Mrs. Marguerite Rinker, R. D., Tyrone; Mrs. Timothy Callahan, Altadima, Calif.; Cpl. Paul in the Pacific area. He is also survived by seven grandchildren. He retired as P. R. R. freight brakeman in 1931. He was a member of the Schum Memorial United Brethren Church. Mr. Moffit reposes at the Lafferty Funeral Home. MOFFIT - Funeral services for Porter L. Moffit, 4029 Beale avenue will be held Tuesday at 2:30 o'clock at The Lafferty Funeral Home, in charge of Rev. Schmittle. Interment will be in the Grandview cemetery, Tyrone.
