Mogle, age 79, formerly of 512 W. 16th Street, Tyrone, and for the past two years residing with her daughter in Myrtle Beach, SC died Saturday, June 12, 2004 at the home of her daughter in Myrtle Beach. She was born October 2, 1924 in Tyrone, the daughter of the late Leonard and Edna Miller Waite. On April 14, 1946 at the Birmingham Presbyterian Church she was married to Byron E. Mogle who preceded her in death April 15, 2001 ending a marriage of 55 years. She is survived by four children: Karin Orren of Bryan, TX; Betsy, wife of Thomas O'Connor of Rochester, NY; Deborah, wife of Kevin Phillips of Myrtle Beach, SC and Tim and wife Karen Mogle of Tyrone. Ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Jane, wife of Myrl Wilson of Austin, TX and brothers Gerald Waite of Harrisburg, PA and Gary Waite of Springfield, MO and several nieces and nephews. A brother Leonard "Bud" Waite preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Tyrone High School Class of 1942 and had been employed as a technician at Westvaco, as a clerk at Ty Penn Department Store and retired as a teacher's aide at St. Matthew's and Tyrone Area School District. She was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, an associate member of the Socastee United Methodist Church in Myrtle Beach since 1983 where she was a member of the John Wesley Sunday School Class. She had been a member of the Tyrone Round Table Club. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral service for Mrs. Mogle will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at the Church of the Good Shepherd with the Reverend Andrew Bradley and the Reverend Norman E. Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 1650 Clay Avenue, Tyrone, PA 16686.
