All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ WALTER MARTIN MOLLOY Widely known barber in the Seventh ward and well known to many throughout the city as Diddy Molloy, died at 12:10 o'clock this morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn McClosky, 1813 Fourth street. He had been in ill health only a short time. He was located for thirty two years at the barber shop at Chestnut avenue and Third street and was known to a big trade. He was born in Altoona Mar. 5, 1880, a son of Charles and Ellen (Schmitt) Molloy. He was the last of his immediate family. He was married in Altoona on Dec. 17, 1902, to Miss Rachel Struble, Rev. Hough officiating. Surviving are the widow and the daughter at whose home he died and one granddaughter, Patricia McClosky. Mr. Molloy was a member of the Second Avenue United Brethren church and the A. B. Corbin Bible class. Friends will be received at the Axe funeral home after 6 o'clock this evening.
