Monahan, died at 5.30 a.m. Sunday, at her residence, 2305 Maple avenue, of heart trouble, after an illness of several weeks. She was born in this city Sept. 9, 1868, the daughter of James, deceased, and Bridget Corless. She was a member of the Sacred Heart church, and Branch 675, of the L.C.B.A., the Sacred Heart Guild, Ladies' Columbia Circle and the Catholic Auxiliary of the Red Cross. She is survived by her husband and four children: Lieutenant James T. Monahan, located at Camp Scheridon, Alabama; Sister M. Benedict of the Sisters of Charity, at the Sacred Heart Convent, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Anna Marie, and Agnes Catherine, both at home. Her mother, Mrs. James Corless, and five brothers and one sister: John E., James P., Bartley A., Philip J., Martin J., and Miss Annie Corless, all of this city. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9.30 a.m. Interment in Calvary cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Monday Morning, November 18, 1918
