OSCAR J. MONTGOMERY 

Of 1512 14th St. died unexpectedly at 3 p.m. yesterday in the 
Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.  He was born at Coupon May 3, 1893, 
a son of Michael and Minnie (McMullen) Montgomery, and married Helen 
Sanker. Surviving are his wife, four children, Mrs. Regina Wirfel of 
Portage, Mrs. Lois Bearer of Patton, Joseph D. Of Willowick, Ohio, and 
Mrs. Marilyn Henry of Omaha, Neb.; 10 grandchildren, and the following 
brothers and sisters: James of Ashville, William of Akron, Paul of 
Cresson, Mrs. Catherine Byers and Mrs. Agnes Riley of Coalport, Mrs. 
Laura Ruth of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Ellen Swope of Coupon.  He was a 
member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Holy Name Society, 
Golden Age Club, the Gallitzin American Legion, being a veteran of Army 
service in World War I, and of the UMWA as a retired miner.  Friends 
will be received at the Jones Funeral Home after 7 p.m. tomorrow.
