"Butch" Moore, 58, of 419 Garfield St., Tyrone died Sunday, April 23, 2006 at 12:42 p.m. at the Tyrone Hospital E.R. after a lengthy illness. He was born Sept. 12, 1947 in Tyrone, a son of the late Boyd and Helene (Denny) Moore. He was married Oct. 12, 1974 in Altoona to Joan Gregg. He is survived by is wife, a son Thomas J. Moore and daughter Christina Denise Moore at home; three brothers and three sisters: Robert Moore of Monroeville, John "Jack" Moore of Tyrone, William Moore of Altoona, Mary Alberts of Monroeville, Jean Moore of Clearfield and Teri Moore of Altoona. He is also survived by six nieces and nine nephews. Mr. Moore was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. from 1965 to 1971 during the Vietnam era. He retired in 2002 from Bon Secours Hospital, as an assistant in the x-ray department after 30 years in various departments of the hospital. Funeral services and flag presentation were held Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone with Rev. T.M. Talbot-Moses officiating. Interment was held at Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends were received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. before the service Tyrone Daily Herald, April 26, 2006
