After suffering for about ten years from general breakdown, George Washington Moore, a respected citizen of the Seventh ward, died at his home on Columbia avenue at 1:50 Tuesday morning, following a stroke of apoplexy. He was a son of the late Robert and Mary Anderson Moore and was born at Lock Haven, November 7, 1851. Practically all his life had been spent in Clinton county, where he followed the occupation of lumberman, until he came to Tyrone about thirty years ago. On October 8, 1890, he was united in marriage to Miss Mabel R. Roulette, of Birmingham, who survives with one son, Robert A., and a daughter, Ruth S. Moore, at home. He also leaves one brother, Warren M. Moore, of Emporium, and two sisters, Mrs. William Barry and Mrs. Eliza Herman, both of Clearfield, Ky. For some years past deceased had conducted a grocery store on Columbia avenue. He was a consistent Christian man and took an active part in the workings of the Columbia Avenue Methodist Episcopal church. Funeral will take place from the late home tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 in charge of Rev. M. S. Derstine. Interment in Grand View cemetery.
