Moore, was run over by a freight train, in the neighborhood of Kittanning Point, and so much injured that he died on Tuesday morning. His legs were fractured below the knees and his skull broken. His body was brought to the "dead house," at this place and on Wednesday buried in the cemetery. The deceased was a tailor by trade, and worked with Mr. Stouffer, in Hollidaysburg. He came to this place on Monday, to witness the parade, and it is supposed that, in the evening, he made a mistake in taking the Western train for the Hollidaysburg train, was put off the train at the Point, when the mistake was discovered, and that in attempting to get upon one of the freight trains to return to this place, he fell and was run over. From papers found on his person it appears that he was in the Rebel army during the rebellion, being a member of Co. C., 64th Georgia Regiment. From persons in Hollidaysburg we learn that he was employed in Atlanta, Ga., when the war broke out. His papers show that he deserted from the rebel army on the 16th of April, 1865, on the occupation of Richmond by the Union army. His native place was Albany or Rochester, N. Y.
