Moore, 82, Cove Lane Road, Roaring Spring, died Sunday morning, July 21, 1996, at his home. He was born March 20, 1914, in Roaring Spring, the son of William A. Sr. and Bessie (Albright) Moore. He was twice married, first to Mabel Sell. She died Feb. 3, 1970. Then he married Kathryn (Rupert) Sell. She died June 20, 1995. Mr. Moore was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Roaring Spring, where he was a former Sunday School teacher and trustee and served on other committees. He retired as an assistant traffic manager from Roaring Spring Blank Book Co. in 1981. Mr. Moore was past master of Woodbury Grange, Martinsburg; past worshipful master of Woodbury Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, Roaring Spring; past most wise master of the Altoona Consistory Bodies; and a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows, Jaffa Temple, Cove Area Shrine Club and the Roaring Spring Lions Club. He was also past president and secretary of the Greenlawn Cemetery Association, Roaring Spring. Surviving are two sons: Dr. Barry B. of Camp Hill and the Rev. Phillip G. of Martinsburg; two stepsons: James Lynn Sell of Trenton, Mich., and Paul Wayne Sell of Forrest Hill, Md.; a stepdaughter, Janet Lee McKenzie of LaVale, Md.; two sisters: Doris Matheny of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Barbara Butler of Roaring Spring; five grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and a step-great-granddaughter. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. MOORE - Services for Robert W. Moore of Cove Lane Road, Roaring Spring, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, by the Rev. Dr. Phillip G. Moore. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be held at 9 p.m. Tuesday.
