All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _______________________________________________ Altoona Mirror Monday, March 20, 1905 Mrs. Margaret MORGAN, wife of James Morgan, Sr., died at her home, 718 Seventh Avenue, at 7:30 Saturday evening. The direct cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage, the contributing cause being la grippe. The deceased was the daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth O'CONNOR and she was born at Blair Furnace, March 16, 1849. On February 28, 1867, she was married to James Morgan in Altoona by Rev. Father, afterward Bishop, Twigg. Surviving her she leaves a sorrowing husband and these children: John, James, Frank, Gertrude, wife of C.J. KEPNER, and Mary. She also leaves two sisters and one brother - James O'Connor and Mrs. Mary GIBBONEY of Altoona, and Sister Genevieve, who is stationed at St. John's Convent, South Side, Pittsburg. In the death of Mrs. Morgan there has passed away one who was an affectionate and loving mother, one who was a good neighbor and whose daily life exemplified the fact she was truly a Christian. She was a devoted member of St. Mark's Catholic church. The family has been doubly bereaved during the past week. On Thursday of last week a daughter, Mrs. Annie WHITE, died at the hospital. The funeral of Mrs. Morgan will take place Tuesday morning, leaving the house at 8:30 o'clock and proceeding to St. Mark's church, where services will be held. Interment in St. John's cemetery.
