Morrissey, 96, of Box 36, Ironville, Tyrone R.D. 1, died Tuesday, April 2, 1991, at 4:50 p.m. at Mercy Hospital, Altoona. He was born June 22, 1894, in Tyrone, Pa., the son of John and Hanna (Stonebraker) Morrissey. On June 30, 1916, at Cumberland, Maryland, he was married to Venus A. Park. She died Aug. 29, 1969. He is survived by three sons, David W. Morrissey of Nealmont, Tyrone, and James A. Morrissey and Earl G. Morrissey, both of Tyrone R.D. 1, 33 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family and was preceded in death by one son, Harry. He was a member of the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company. He retired from the Westvaco Corp. in 1960 as a machine operator after more than 30 years of service. He previously had been employed as a brakeman for the Pennsylvania Railroad. Funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home Inc. with the Reverend Neil R. Albright officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery, Snyder Township, Tyrone, Pa. Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., April 4, 1991
