She was born January 25, 1913 in Tyrone to Ira John and Mabel Catherine (Mattern) Cupp. Catherine was raised in Northwood and attended Tyrone High School. On March 17, 1932, she married John Frank Morrissey in Cumberland, Md. They made their home in Tyrone for over 60 years. In 1993 they moved to Arco, Idaho where they have resided since. John passed away in 1999. Children were the light of Catherine's life. They must have felt her love, because they all loved her. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading anything from westerns to medicinal. She was a member of the International Graphoanalysis Society. Surviving are two sons, John I. Morrissey of Plymouth, Mich. and Michael A. Morrissey of Arco, Idaho; a daughter, Patricia Turnbaugh of Tyrone and a sister, Florence Boyd of Tyrone. There are six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John and a brother, Perry J. Cupp. Private family graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2004 at the Grandview Cemetery, Snyder Twp. with Rev. Paul V. Sweitzer officiating.
