It was while the excellent lady was apparently in the enjoyment of perfect health that the spark of life was snuffed out in a moment and gloom was cast over a household in which she had so recently been contributing cheeriness. Mrs. Morrissey had just returned from church and seemed to be in the best of health. Arriving at her home on Eighteenth Street, she was summoned to the home of her son next door, on account of sickness in the latter's family. She entered the sick room in good spirits and spoke a few words, then sat down upon a chair, and a few moments later suddenly expired, her death occurring at 9:30 o'clock. The deceased was aged 55 years and four months. She is survived by her husband, John Morrissey, and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Frank Lehner, Mrs. Emory Woomer, Mrs. Clyde Little, and William and Frank Morrissey, all of Tyrone, Pa.; and Charles and Grover Morrissey of East Pittsburgh, and Arthur Morrissey of Orville, Ohio. Also surviving her are the following brothers and sisters: William Stonebraker of Blue Ball; Mrs. Elizabeth Lehman of Oil City; Mrs. David Ike of Clearfield; Mrs. Daniel Vaughn; of Sandy Ridge and Mrs. George Heidler, of Claysburg. Mrs. Morrissey was a faithful member of the United Brethren Church, a true Christian woman, as she was a loving and devoted wife and mother. The funeral announcement will be made tomorrow. Tyrone Daily Herald, December 6, 1917 FUNERAL NOTICE The funeral of the late Mrs. John Morrissey will be held Saturday afternoon, with services conducted by Reverend E. G. Sawyer in the United Brethren church, at 2 o'clock. Tyrone Daily Herald, December 7, 1917
