On Monday evening Johnny, the bright little son of F. W. Morton, died a victim to that dreaded disease scarlet fever. The deceased boy was about 7 years of age and a general favorite with our citizens. He was noted for his amiable disposition and for being intelligent and manly far beyond his years. His death is not only intensely painful to his parents, but many of our citizens have sad hearts, especially his youthful associates and school companions. The funeral will take place to-day at 11 o'clock A.M. from Mr. Morton's residence, opposite the American House, and proceed to the Presbyterian cemetery.
