Moskel, 79, of 1747 Adams Ave., Tyrone died Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Tyrone Hospital. He was born January 18, 1927 in Madera, a son of William and Mary (Russian) Moskel. On November 2, 1945 in Elkton, MD, he married Phyllis M. Stroup. She died October 24, 1999. Surviving are five daughters, Cathy Wiser, Margaret Batchler and husband Gary, Patricia Griffith and husband Gary and Donna Myers and husband James, all of Tyrone, Susan and husband William of Altoona, 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two sisters: Peg Long of Sadsburyville, June Sharrer of Modena and a brother Robert Moskel of Coatesville. He was preceded in death by two sons: John and Franklin, five sisters and two brothers. Mr. Moskel retired in 1992 from Milton Transportation as a truck driver following 10 years service. He was previously employed as a truck dispatcher for Rowe Cambridge Trucking, Bald Eagle. He was a member of the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company, Tyrone and was raised in the Russian Orthodox Greek Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received today at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Tyrone Daily Herald, April 14, 2006
