SHOPMAN DIES SUDDENLY Ross Mountain, 60, of 516 11th St., enroute home from the railroad relief department after being given permission to return to work as a machinist at East Altoona, died unexpectedly at 10:45 a.m. yesterday as he stopped to talk with a friend at 9th Ave. and 12th St. He was born Jan. 29, 1902, in Bellwood, a son of Clarence E. and Mary (McMillen) Mountain and married Elizabeth Brumbaugh. Surviving are his wife, an adopted son, Wilbur L., in the Coast Guard at Elizabeth City, N.C., and two brothers, Paul of Hollidaysburg RD 2 and G. M. of the city. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and Big Brothers Bible Class, of Logan Lodge, F & AM; Harrisburg Consistory and Jaffa Shrine, and had been employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad for the past 40 years, working at the East Altoona roundhouse. Friends will be received at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, after 7 p.m. today.
