Mrs. Carrie Mountney, widow of the late Edward Mountney, died at her residence, 1308 Eleventh avenue, at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, after a long illness, of consumption. For the past two months she had been confined to her bed, and though her sufferings were intense at time, she bore them uncomplainingly and was amply prepared for the final summons when it came, having been a consistent member of the First Lutheran church. She was aged 39 years, 11 months and 5 days at the time of her death. During her long illness he sister, Mrs. Henderson, of Neff's Mills, Huntingdon county, administered to her wants and through her careful nursing life was prolonged a few weeks. The funeral will take place to-morrow afternoon. The body will be taken to the First Lutheran church, where, at 2 o'clock, services will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. E. D. Weigle. At the conclusion of the services the funeral procession will proceed to Fairview cemetery where the interment will be made. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday, January 20, 1891 Local Brevities.
