Andrew Jackson Mountz, of Cove Forge, died at that place at 8 o'clock last evening. He was born in Blair county, October 22, 1832, and had lived in this section all his life. Years ago he had been employed in the old forges of the district and later had been a rural carrier. He is preceded to the grave by his entire family, his wife and nine children. Mr. Mountz was a lifelong member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was always active in church work. The funeral services will be held at the late home on Friday afternoon, with interment in the Schmucker cemetery at Cove Forge. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday Morning, January 31, 1917 Williamsburg. The funeral of Jackson Mountz, who died Tuesday evening at his home at Cove Dale, of diseases incident to his advanced age, was held yesterday afternoon at the home, services conducted by his pastor, Rev. Robert T. Whiteley, of the Methodist church. He was a lifelong resident of Cove Dale and associated with the early history of that place. During almost his entire life he was a zealous and tireless worker in the Methodist church, impaired vision and final total blindness precluding his worship in public for the past few years. He was known in his small world as a devout man of God and his influence for good was felt throughout the community. Interment was made in the Schmucker cemetery.
