MOUNTZ At 3 o'clock Monday afternoon, George Washington Mountz, a life-long resident of Covedale, died at the county hospital of Bright's disease. Mr. Mountz had been in ill health for some time. Six weeks ago he went to the home of his brother Reuben, of Duncansville, where he remained until a week ago, when his condition necessitated his removal to the hospital. A son of Christian and Elizabeth Mountz, he was born at Covedale October 16, 1841. He was not married. Surviving are three brothers: John R., of Williamsburg; Reuben, of Duncansville; Henry, of Hollidaysburg. The body was taken in charge by Funeral Director H. O. Snively, of Williamsburg, and was taken to the home of his brother John at Williamsburg. From there the cortege will leave at 1:45 Wednesday afternoon for the Covedale Methodist Episcopal church, where services will be held. Interment in the Schmucker cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday Morning, January 9, 1917 Williamsburg The funeral of the late George W. Mountz will be held this afternoon at 1 o'clock, at the residence of his brother, John Mountz, short services will be held prior to departing for Cove Forge where services will be held at the Methodist Episcopal church, at 2 o'clock.
