Moyer, of Box 721, Altoona RD 3, was dead on arrival at the Tyrone Hospital Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. He was born April 4, 1917, at Altoona, a son of Sylvester and Lucy Foster Moyer. He was married to Betty James. He is survived by his wife; one son and one, daughter: William, of Tyrone, and Mrs. Barbara Potts, of Tipton; five grandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters: Lynn, John and Richard, of Altoona; Orville, of Middletown, Conn.; Alfred, of Juniata; and Mrs. Violet Calhoun and Mrs. Vanetta Laird, of Pinecroft. He was a member of the Riggles Gap Bible Church and Pinecroft Fire Company. He retired in 1970 from the Ward Trucking Co., where he had been employed as a driver for 19 years. Funeral service will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the Mauk and Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, with the Rev. Norman Waite officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood. Friends will be received at the funeral home today, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., January 12, 1978
