Mull, residing with his brother-in-law, Mr. W. M. Bishop, at No. 1110 Fourteenth avenue, died at 7 o'clock Tuesday morning, after an illness covering a period of eight years. In 1881 he was stricken with paralysis and the attacks continued until his death. He was born on the 11th day of December, 1842, in Philadelphia, and was consequently 46 years, 2 months and 2 days old. After being employed on the Valley Spirit, at Chambersburg, a number of years, in 1861 he left that field of labor and became a clerk. In the year 1876 he connected himself with the Keystone hotel company, traveling between Philadelphia and Altoona, continuing until 1881, auditing the accounts and taking care of general business. It was his custom to pass the winter in Altoona, where he had many friends. The deceased is survived by two sisters and one brother, they being Mrs. Mary Hunting, of Chicago, Mrs. W. M. Bishop, of this city, and Mr. John H. Mull, of Chambersburg. Deceased was a member of Columbus lodge No. 75, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and of Centennial commandery Knights Templar, of Chambersburg. During his illness Mountain City lodge, No. 837, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of this city, was unremitting in its attentions. Altoona Tribune, February 7, 1889
