Ressler and John Murray, the former an engineer, aged thirty-three years, and the latter a fireman, aged about twenty-four years, met with their death in a very sudden manner near the upper end of the company's yard, in this city, They were walking on the track and were overtaken by a section of a freight train, knocked down, run over, horribly mangled and instantly killed. Mr. Ressler resided at the corner Seventh avenue and Twentieth street, and leaves a wife and three children, Mr. Murray resided at the corner of Margaret avenue and seventeenth street, and was the son of Wm. Murray, the well known Eleventh avenue merchant. He leaves a wife and three children.
