Maurtgh, who resides at the New Bolton hotel on Bridge street, received a letter from his mother, who resides in Castleboro, County May, Ireland, yesterday, bearing the sad intelligence that his brother, Patrick Maurtgh, had been killed on the western battle front on Feb. 18. The young man, while a resident in this city, had boarded at the New Bolton house and had returned to his native country, where he enlisted in the British army. He has another brother who is now in training in the American army in Camp Hancock, Georgia. William Maurtgh enlisted in Company G and accompanied the command to camp, from where they expect to be sent over in the near future.
