By some means the wagon was upset and the grain fell on Mr. Myers, smothering him to death before it could be removed. When extricated he was dead. At 2 o'clock p.m. an inquest was held by Justice S. C. Weaver. The following gentlemen constituted the jury: J. M. Bell, Frank Bell, James Bell, John Masdon, John Tries and Joseph Boose. After hearing testimony by Arthur Fletcher and Dr. M. F. Black, the jury rendered a verdict to the effect that death was caused by strangulation. Mr. Myers was the father of one daughter who is the wife of John Doboyne, of Hollidaysburg. He was about 56 years of age and was respected by all who knew him. Our Hollidaysburg correspondent says: "The deceased was for many years a resident of Frankstown. He was, we believe, a man without an enemy. We were intimately acquainted with him for years and if there was a man in Blair county whose whole life was blameless, we believe Mr. Myers was that man." The funeral will take place on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment in the Presbyterian Cemetery at Hollidaysburg.
