Myers, age 90, a guest at Bellemeade Manor and formerly of Tipton died Monday, January 10, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. at Tyrone Hospital. She was born August 29, 1914 at Warriors Mark, the daughter of Fred S. and Naomi Harris Musser. On November 19, 1933 she was married to John D. "Jack" Myers who preceded her in death December 19, 1991. She is survived by two sons, John D. Myers Jr., Tipton and James C. Myers and wife Caroline, Tipton; seven grandchildren, Deborah Myers, Mark Myers, Dana Glunz, Neil Myers, Natalie McCarthy, Greg Myers and Laura Shope; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Jack Musser of Tyrone. She was preceded in death by a grandson, John Myers III, one brother and two sisters. Prior to retirement, with her husband, she owned and operated Myers Restaurant on 10th Street, Tyrone; Jack's Diner on 16th Street, Tyrone and J & L Barbecue in State College. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church and particularly enjoyed her friendship with all of the Graystone Court residents. Funeral services for Mrs. Myers will be held Thursday, January 13, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend Henry Shaffer officiating. Interment will be made at the convenience of the family in Burket Cemetery, Warriors Mark. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. Tyrone Daily Herald, January 12, 2005
