The body of William Hayden Myers, of 609 Fifth street, was recovered yesterday morning about 6 o'clock. Searches continue the hunt for the remains of Harvey J. Heiler, the little 6-year-old boy who was drowned at the same time. S. F. Crilley, of the Seventh ward, with his family went to their cottage near the scene of the drowning to spend the week-end. Early yesterday morning Mr. Crilley was about the river and he noticed a peculiar object bobbing up and down across the river. Searchers had appeared to resume the hunt for Myers and the little boy Heiler. A boat was secured and rowing over, the object proved to be the body of Myers. It was taken from the water and friends here notified of the recovery. Undertaker Gilden went to Mill Creek and brought the remains to the city to be prepared for burial. Searchers, including a number of men from the air brake shop, made a systematic search Saturday for the two victims but no trace of them could be found. Today the search for the remains of the Heiler boy will be resumed. Myers' body was recovered within a short distance from where he was drowned. The funeral of William Hayden Myers will take place from his home on Tuesday morning, services to be conducted at the Eighth Avenue Methodist Episcopal church at 10 o'clock. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Monday, June 3, 1918, page 1 FUNERAL NOTICE. The funeral of Hayden Myers will be held at 10 o'clock this morning in the Fifth Avenue Methodist Episcopal church and not in the Eighth avenue church as was announced, due to an error, in these columns yesterday.
