John Myers died in the Memorial hospital, Johnstown, Sunday evening, after a short illness of influenza. He had lived in this city until recently when he moved to Johnstown. His age was 48 years and he was born in Blair township, this county, the son of Samuel and Maria Myers, both deceased. The survivors are his wife and four sons, Grant of South Fork, Edward of Huntingdon and Orville and Charles, at home; two brothers and two sisters, Jacob and Henry Myers of Hollidaysburg and Mrs. W. S. Barnard of Roselawn and Mrs. Percy Wilhelm of Mapleton. He was a member of the Wopsononock tribe, Improved Order of Red Men and the Loyal Order of Moose. The remains will be brought to Altoona today and a private funeral held on Thursday. Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday Morning, November 27, 1918
