Myers, who had been an invalid for some time past, died on Monday, January 31, at 7 o'clock p.m., aged 61 years, 1 month and 20 days. Her husband, Joseph Myers, was a brave union soldier and died in the rebel prison in Salisbury, South Carolina, twenty-two years ago. Mrs. Myers was an old respected citizen of Roaring Spring, where she has resided for about eighteen years. About fourteen years ago she was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church at this place, and ever after lived a consistent Christian life. She died in the blissful hope of immortality, and directed that when she was passing over death's shores those present sing: "O bear me away on your snowy wings." She was a good and kind mother and neighbor. Her remains will be interred in the cemetery here this afternoon.
