Canan, North Pennsylvania avenue, at about 10.30 last Sunday evening. Mr. Myers and family live on Sixteenth street, adjoining the home of Mr. Canan and family. Sunday just before the noon hour, as was her daily custom, Mrs. Myers walked from her own home across the lot to that of her daughter, and shortly after taking a seat was attacked by paralysis, losing both speech and power to help herself almost instantly. Tender hands and a quickly summoned physician did all for the afflicted woman that could be done, but to no avail, for she rapidly grew weaker and finally died at about the hour above named. The deceased's maiden name was Nancy Krider. She was born in Warriorsmark valley, a short distance from the village of Warriorsmark, on the 24th of August, 1834, and at death was 63 years, 4 months and 29 days old. In the same valley she was married to Henry Myers on the 14th of February, 1885. They removed from the Cross Roads to Tyrone in the year 1867, and have resided here since that time. Besides her husband the deceased is survived by three children viz: Mrs. W. T. Canan, of Tyrone; Harry K. Myers, of Philadelphia, and Allen C. Myers, who is a student at the Stephens Institute, Hoboken, N. J. Four brothers and one sister also survive, viz: H. H. Krider, of Tyrone; Samuel S. and John L. Krider, of Warriorsmark township; Chilion D. Krider, of Bellefonte, and Mrs. Mary Mattern, widow of the late John B. Mattern, of Buffalo Run, Centre county. Her death is doubtless due to the shock that she experienced when her Samuel S. and his wife were hurt at No. 10 bridge on Monday of last week, who were the next day conveyed past her door to the home of James Canan. Mrs. Myers was a faithful member of the United Brethren church from her childhood. She was an energetic and active woman, a good neighbor, true friend and most kind and faithful wife and mother. The funeral was held on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Services at the United Brethren church by Rev. W. W. Rymer, and interment at Tyrone cemetery.
