Narehood, 71, of Ridge Road, Tyrone died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Altoona Regional Health System - Altoona Hospital Campus. He was born May 13, 1936 in Danville, a son of Harold W. and Neta A. (Hein) Narehood. On November 18, 1999 in Tyrone he married Nancy C. Hunter. Surviving are his wife, a daughter Angela J. Goss and husband Bill of Tyrone, 2 sons, H. Michael and wife Kathy of Tyrone, Jeffrey L. and wife Betty of Tipton, 7 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and a sister Neta Sue Chapin and husband Robbins of Flemington. He was preceded in death by a son Todd, a sister Nancy and a brother Harold Michael. Mr. Narehood retired in 1988 as salesman for New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Tyrone which was formerly the family business, Narehood Brothers Inc. He had been employed in the quarrying business in various capacities since the age of 13. He began his career working for his grandfather at Narehood Brothers Quarry, Limestoneville, Montour County. He then was an independent truck driver for a period of time before joining his father in the business in Tyrone in 1964 until his retirement. He was a member of the Tyrone Elks, Blazing Hook and Ladder Fire, Tyrone, Milton Moose, Pennsylvania Stone Association and a life member of the Milton Lodge Free and Accepted Masons. He attended the Northwood Baptist Chapel. He was an avid golfer, hunter and was instrumental in the development of the Sinking Valley Country Club. Randall was proud of teaching his grandchildren the game of golf. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren and looked forward to their many gatherings in the "lodge". Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the Northwood Baptist Chapel with Rev. Tim Tangen officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery, Milton. Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
