B. Nearhoof of Eighth street and the Pleasant Valley road, died last evening at 9 o'clock of pneumonia. She was in the city on last Wednesday, apparently in good health, but on Thursday became ill. She would have been 14 years old if she had lived until the 6th of this coming March. Less than four months ago the family suffered the loss of their infant daughter, Viola Blanche, who died of dropsy. Miss Nearhoof was of the most charming and Christian character. She was a devout and regular attendant of the Methodist Episcopal church and for one so young in years had marked her influence and power by that modest service and Christian spirit that so largely assists a Christian organization. She is survived by her father and mother, and Charles and Sanford, brothers, and Jessie, Gladys and Martha Bell, sisters, all at home. Interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Funeral services will be conducted at the house by the Rev. George Murray Klepfer.
