MARY NEARHOOF Mrs. Mary Nearhoof, a life-long resident of Warriors Mark valley died at her residence at Warrior's Mark Thursday morning at 3.30 o'clock following several years' illness with complication. Mrs. Nearhoof was a daughter of Xopher and Susan Gensimore Houck and was born in Warriors Mark Valley on October 18, 1858. About 57 years ago, she was united in marriage with John B. Nearhoof. She is survived by these children: Harry Nearhoof, Lawrence Nearhoof, Mrs. Porter Taylor, of Warriors Mark; C. B. Nearhoof and Mrs. J. A. Williams, of Altoona. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two brothers, John Houck, of Warriorsmark and J. M. Houck, of Altoona. She was an attendant at the Methodist Episcopal church at Centre Line. Funeral services will be held at the Nearhoof home at Warriors Mark Saturday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. David Kerr, followed by burial in Burket cemetery, Warriors Mark.
