Nearhoof, 76, of 1312 Blair Ave., Tyrone, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at the Tyrone Hospital. He was born November 1, 1930 at Bald Eagle a son of Ernest R. and Susan (Justice) Nearhoof. He was married Nov. 23, 1973 to Donna J. Snyder. He is survived by his wife and a daughter Marie Fink (Terry) of Tyrone; a step-daughter Doris Fink (Mark) of Dallas, Georgia and a stepson Alan Swann (Terri) of Warriors Mark. Children from a previous marriage are Sue Leeper (Jeff) of Birmingham, Paul Nearhoof and Sandy of Florida and Linda of unknown. There are 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter Diane Nearhoof and sons Mike Nearhoof and James Nearhoof and a step-son Steven Swann. Also, three sisters Mary Kobuck, Orpha Parker, Beatrice Catich and a brother Ralph C. Nearhoof, Sr. He was of the Methodist faith. He retired in 1996 from Chicago Rivet and Machine Co. after 24 years services and was previously employed at the Tyrone Boro Highway Dept. for 12 years. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Barry E. Neal officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tyrone Daily Herald, June 28, 2007
