Mr. Nelson had not been in good health for several years past, but was in the city during the earlier part of the week. He was by occupation a farmer and had been quite successful as such. Beside his wife he is survived by one son and one daughter. He was a member of the Asbury Methodist Episcopal church and much interested in the work. The funeral occurred yesterday afternoon and was largely attended. The interment was made in the Asbury cemetery. After the services at the grave, which were in charge of Rev. Samuel Blair of the Epworth church, the relatives and friends went into the church where further services were held, conducted by the same minister.
