She was born May 14, 1986 in Tyrone, a daughter of Thomas L. and Elizabeth A. (Beers) Nelson. Surviving are her parents, a sister, Rosanne M. Lewis and husband Aaron of Tyrone, two brothers, Thomas L. Jr. of Clover, Virginia, Robert A. and wife Sharon of State College, nieces, Summer Lewis and Brielle Gaudrew and nephews Thomas L. Nelson III and Hunter S. Nelson. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and was currently employed at LaScalia's Restaurant, Vail and at Silver Screen Video, Tyrone. She was a 2004 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and was attending the South Hills Business School, Altoona. In addition, she had worked as a lifeguard at DelGrosso's Amusement Park, Tipton and had given swimming lessons for the Tyrone YMCA. She had been a member of the Tyrone High School Tennis team and was a member of the HOSA Club at Tyrone High School and also at South Hills Business School. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Church with Father Joseph T. Orr Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Feller Memorial Home where Wake services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Beth was a frequent blood donor and memorial gifts in her memory may be made to the American Red Cross, Blair County Chapter, 4100 5th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601.
