Nepper, formerly of Pittsburgh, but a resident of Hummel for the past three years, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Sarah B. Brumbaugh, on Sunday, March 2, 1941. Death was caused by a stroke of apoplexy. A son of Charles and Hannah (McCarl) Nepper, he was born in Huston township, Blair county, on March 14, 1868. At the time of death he was aged 72 years, eleven months and eighteen days. He is survived by one daughter, Viola Nepper, of Wilkinsburg, and the following sisters and brother: Mrs. Sarah B. Brumbaugh, of Hummel; Mrs. Vene Isenberg, of Columbiana, Ohio; Mrs. Fannie Mosel, of Hollidaysburg; Mrs. Etta Lykens, of Newry, and Edward Nepper, of Carrollton, Ohio. Mr. Nepper was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company for forty-three years, having retired as a conductor three years ago. He was a member of The Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and of the Evangelical and Reformed church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Sarah B. Brumbaugh at Hummel. The Rev. Charles Huyette and the Rev. Paul Rowland will officiate; interment will be made in the Methodist cemetery at Hummel by Huff's funeral service.
