He was born August 8, 1966 in Altoona, a son of Edith (Keith) Newberry and the late William S. Newberry. He is survived by his mother Edith Newberry of Birmingham, three sisters and one brother: Deborah Fetterman (Jack) of Bellwood, Joanna Newberry of Helena, Montana, William Scott Newberry of Bellwood and Tonya M. Newberry of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by three nieces, three nephews, one great-nephew and two great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his father and grandmother, Alice P. Eckard. He was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School in 1985 and a graduate of Thaddeus Stevens Trade School in Commercial Sheet Metal. He enjoyed hunting and sports and driving his race car at Hesston Race Track. He was employed for the past 17 years at Kunzler-Juniata Packing Co., Tyrone. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Pastor Terry L. Buckel officiating. Interment will be at Birmingham Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
