EDGAR M. NICODEMUS

Of 220 Howard avenue, died at 3:55 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the Altoona 
hospital where he was admitted April 25, 1952, after an extended illness.  He 
was born in Altoona March 20, 1893, a son of George and Elizabeth (Shoenfelt) 
Nicodemus, and was employed as a machinist in the Altoona works planing mill.  
Mr. Nicodemus was a member of the Fourth Lutheran church and of the Eagles.  
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edna (Root) Nicodemus; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn 
Streightiff, at the home; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and four 
sisters, Mrs. Anna Vandrew of the city, Mrs. Margaret Reese of Juniata, Mrs. 
Florence Clark and Mrs. Elsie Mower of Hershey.  Friends will be received at the 
Axe funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening.
