Nicodemus Passes Away at His Home in Martinsburg. Thursday morning at 1 o'clock Levi H. Nicodemus died at his residence on East Julian street, Martinsburg, aged 71 years, 10 months and 11 days. The deceased was born on Clover Creek, near Martinsburg, where he resided for many years. For some time Mr. Nicodemus had been in failing health, and therefore unable to follow any secular pursuit. On last Wednesday he appeared to be in his usual health, but about 11 o'clock that night he was stricken with paralysis and remained unconscious until he passed away. He was united in marriage to Miss Charlotte Fore, and settled on a farm south of Martinsburg, where they resided for a number of years. His widow survives, as do also these children: Mrs. George Wright, Mrs. Frank Bollinger and Miss Eva Nicodemus, all residing in this city. The deceased was a man somewhat reserved in character, and while he was a good and upright citizen, expressing his opinions on the current questions of the day, yet he never took an active part in passing events. He was a consistent member of St. John's Reformed church. The funeral services will be held at 10.30 o'clock Saturday morning at the residence of John H. Nicodemus, East Allegheny street, Martinsburg. The interment will be made in Fairview cemetery. The Tribune is indebted to its Martinsburg correspondent for the above facts.
