Nonemaker, wife of G. W. Nonemaker, died yesterday afternoon at 12:55 o'clock, of nervous trouble, after an illness dating since last Christmas. Deceased was born at Saxton, Bedford county, August 24, 1880, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Herring. She was a consistent member of the First Church of God since her girlhood and was esteemed and respected by a wide circle of friends. She is survived by her husband, her parents, one sister, Ella E., and one brother, James Leffard, all of the city. A brother, Lieutenant Rae F. Herring, died in France just a month ago of injuries received in an accident in railway shops. The family received word of his demise just two weeks ago, an account of which appeared in the Tribune. The funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon, with services at the First Church of God at 3 o'clock. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Tuesday, February 11, 1919, page 10
