NOSS Mrs. Noss, 91, of Bloomsburg RD 4, formerly of Altoona, died at 12:27 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 1990, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Mrs. Noss taught private music lessons in Altoona for many years. She was born April 7, 1898, in Jackson Township, Cambria County, the daughter of Martin L. and Lucy A. (Brown) Wertz, and married Dr. John C. Noss, who died June 15, 1959. Surviving are a son, Dr. Gilbert R. W. Selders, with whom she resided; two grandsons and two great-grandsons. Mrs. Noss was a member of the First Church of Christ, Altoona. She was a 1923 graduate of Combs Broad Street Conservatory of Music, Philadelphia, and in 1928 was the first person in Pennsylvania to receive a master's degree in music education.
