FRANK B. NOWLEN,

A native of Claysburg, died yesterday in the Memorial hospital, 
Johnstown, of paralysis, following a stroke sustained several days ago.  
He resided in Johnstown with a son, Ross, for the last six months.  He 
was born in Claysburg on June 10, 1858.  Surviving are three sons, Ross 
of Johnstown, Amasa, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Ralph of Pittsburgh 
and one brother, Amos of this city.  The funeral will be held Friday 
morning at 10 o'clock with interment at Claysburg.  Services will be 
held in the Claysburg Lutheran church.
