Stricken ill while sitting in a chair at his home in Greenwood, Altoona, Charles Alonzo Noye, aged 45, former Pennsylvania Railroad brakeman, died Tuesday evening, Sept. 16, before medical attention could be summoned. Death was due to a heart attack, he having suffered from a complication of diseases for some time. Mr. Noye was born in Perry county, October 25, 1884, the son of Charles E. and Ella Powell Noye. Surviving are the widow, who was Miss Effie Reeder, formerly of Middle Ridge, and several children. Burial was at Harrisburg on Friday following the death. - newspaper clipping [Charles A. Also surviving are a brother, Isaac, of McKees Rocks; a sister, Mrs. Robert Fry, of York; a half-sister, Ruth Noye, and his stepmother, Mrs. Mary Noye, of Harrisburg. He was a member of the B. or R. T., No. 174.
