Lois E. Ott, 83, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023, in Altoona. She was
the daughter of the late Harry R. and Eleanor (Schmid­hammer) Plummer.

Lois shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Sheldon G. Ott, until his
passing on April 23, 2023.

A life marked by love and family, Lois leaves behind her loving son, Douglas Ott, of
Greencastle. Lois also had many special friends, who brought joy and companionship
to her life.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Sheldon, Lois was preceded in death by a
daughter, Pamela Ott Burns.

Lois dedicated her working years to Charter Communications as a secretary.

A woman of deep faith, Lois was a devoted member of Hollidaysburg Church of the
Brethren, where she found solace and community. Her commitment to her beliefs was a
guiding light, shining in the lives of those around her.

Music was a significant part of Lois’s life, and she found great joy in sharing her
voice with others. She was a cherished member of The Sweet Adelines, where her
passion for music and harmony enriched the lives of many.

A celebration of Lois’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023, at The
Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, with Pastor Linda Banaszak
officiating.

Burial will be held at Alto-Reste Park.

If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Altoona Chapter of
Sweet Adelines, 506 Baldwin Lane, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
