PATRICK O'CONNELL.

  At 4.05 o'clock yesterday morning Mr. Patrick O'Connell, one of the 
city's oldest residents, died at his home, 1403 Thirteenth avenue, from 
a complication of diseases.  Mr. O'Connell was born in Cambria county 
October 17, 1824, being consequently aged 75 years and 29 days.  He was 
married to Miss Bridget Canole in St. John's Roman Catholic church in 
this city in the year 1854.  His wife died one year and ten months ago.  
To this union there were born six children, namely: Mrs. A. M. Courson, 
Mrs. T. J. Monahan, Mrs. J. F. Espenlaub, Mrs. Annie Gable, Miss Retta 
and Mr. William O'Connell, all of this city.  He was a member of St. 
John's church and attentive to his churchly duties.  On Saturday 
morning his body will be conveyed to the above named church, where at 9 
o'clock mass will be said for the repose of the soul.  Interment in St. 
John's cemetery.
