O'Donnell, residing at 216 Ninth avenue, Juniata, died on Tuesday evening in a Philadelphia hospital, after a long illness from cerebral trouble. Mr. O'Donnell had been a patient at the Altoona hospital, but he was taken to Philadelphia some time ago for treatment by a specialist. Mr. O'Donnell was born Jan. 14, 1876, in Manayunk, Philadelphia, and was brought to Altoona by his parents when a child, and resided in this city or Juniata all his life. He went to work as a hammer boy in the railroad shops early in life and worked for the company throughout his life until his last illness. He was one of the charter members of Altoona council, No. 551, Knights of Columbus, at its organization seventeen years ago and belonged to the Holy Rosary Catholic church in Juniata. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mary, and a sister living in Philadelphia. The funeral will take place on Saturday morning at 9.30 o'clock from his sister's home, 1546 N. Mertylwood avenue, in Philadelphia and burial will be made in Manayunk cemetery in the plot with the remains of his father and mother. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Friday Morning, April 12, 1918
