He was born at Peale, Clearfield county, May 10, 1884, a son of Lars and Anna Orberg, and married Miss Esther M. Larson at Hollidaysburg Aug. 22, 1908. Mr. Orberg had been employed as a carman by the Pennsylvania railroad for more than 40 years, for a number of years as a gang foreman until his health interfered. He was a member of the First Lutheran church, Altoona lodge 147, Knights of Pythias, and Monitor lodge 231, S. F. and A. Surviving are his wife, two sons and one daughter. Robert E., and Henry E., and Mrs. Edith M. Kerns, all of the city; eight grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Augusta Anderson of Jamestown, N. Y. Friends will be received at the Hickey funeral home after 7 o'clock Thursday evening.
