O'Rourke of 1360 Pennsylvania ave., died at his home at 12:15 o'clock this morning after an extended illness. He was born March 30, 1882, in County Tyrone, Ireland, the son of Francis and Margaret Flarety [Flaherty?] O'Rourke. He married the former Wilmineah [Wilhelmina?] Schultz, Nov. 6, 1901, at Houtzdale. He had resided in Tyrone the past 34 years. Surviving are the widow, daughters, Mrs. Robert Givler, of Bald Eagle; Mrs. Margaret Barton, Milford, Mass.; sons: Aloysius, Francis, Vincent, all of Tyrone; John J. of Warriors Mark; and Michael of Fort Meade, Md., also sisters: Mrs. Agnes Lewis, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Mary Tompkins, Norristown; and Mrs. Andrew Des Muran, Pittsburgh; and 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was a retired boiler maker with the Pennsylvania Railroad, and a member of the Blazing Arrow Hook & Ladder Fire Co. Funeral mass will be recited on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew Roman Catholic church, in charge of Msgr. Patrick D. Harking. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery. Friends will be received at the Graham & Getz funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening. There be a recitation of the rosary. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., January 10, 1958
