Altoona Mirror
March 10, 1899

Died at his home, 608 Eighth street, at 6:40 o'clock yesterday evening of 
diseases incident to old age.  He was a native of the Kishacoquillas valley, 
Mifflin county, Pa., having been born there, December 18, 1813 and came to 
Altoona in 1864, where he has resided ever since.  He is survived by seven 
children, three sons and four daughters - H. A., T. K., C. M., Mrs. Sue Landis, 
Mrs. Lydia Wilson, of Altoona; Mrs. Mary Meadville, of Sinking valley, and 
Miss Kate at home.  Also twenty-seven *children and nine great-grandchildren.  
He was a life long Presbyterian.  The funeral will take place on Sunday 
afternoon at 3 o'clock; interment in Fairview cemetery.
